Introduction


This all started when i was messing around with 3rd person player animations, which i took from the Black Ops 2 Turned gamemode.

After i got this working the idea was born to remake it in Black Ops 3, i got help from HitmanVere with custom icons and setting up all the area’s for each map. Which was quite a big task to find all doors/debris that had to be removed etc.

In a few days i had a very basic version working, which could have been done a lot faster if i didn’t want to fix the spawn earthquake effect ( which apparently was only happening in the map Shangri-La ).

Once the basic version was done, i started to implement all the area’s. This required me to create a helper script where i could place spawn points, script models, end game player location and much more. So after all the area’s were done i needed something to select in which area you wanted to play.

There was not much left to do after this, aside from the casual bug fixing. Only thing that was missing was something for when the game ended, i took some inspiration from the Multiplayer in the game. Where you had the top 3 showing and could play some animations on the player.

After everything was pretty much done for release, i wanted to add some final polish to the main menu. I added a bit of “poison” screen effect and spawned in a sign with our names on it. On the start menu i replaced the default character with a zombie model.

Now it was time for release! I had a lot of fun working on this “little” project, it was a nice challenge. There were a lot of more things i could have added, but i wanted to move onto other projects. Below you can see a few gameplay videos of the mod in action!
